We perhaps don't give thought to our stomach health care until
something goes wrong or we experience one of those little nasties

Yet stomach health is an aspect of womens health we should all be concerned with. If the mouth is the gateway to the inner body, the stomach act as the reception organ with a major role in our food health, womens health and nutrition.
A healthy stomach is however about more than just our
food health vitamin and nutrition. When we're upset, scared, anxious, hungry etc., our stomach feedback to us, everything about how we're feeling. Even when we experience happiness, or the sensation of 'butterflies in our stomach', we are gleaning a wonderful source of information
about the emotional state we are in.
The stomach therefore plays a vital role, making it all the more
crucial why more attention need to be given to the stomach health
care aspect of womens health.

Among the most frequently experienced somach health problems or complaint, food poisoning - and salmonella food poisoning in particular, is perhaps the most common for our tummy troubles.
Salmonella food poisoning can occur anywhere, at any time and during any season. It can happen in the home, while eating out at restaurants, through consuming take-away foods; but it is most common in settings where food and drink are mass-produced.
For example, you are especially vulnerable during the holiday/
vacation season, when your stomach health risk is greatly increased by the warmer weather and inappropriate storage of mass-prepared food such as buffets which are left out for prolonged periods of time; this can lead to bacteria multiplying at a more rapid rate.
A common characteristic that identifies food poisoning from other stomach health symptoms, is that all parties will experience the same stomach health problems following consumption of the same affected food or drink.
The bacteria that are often responsible are salmonella typhimurium, salmonella cholera and salmonella enteritidis.
These are present in all milk products, eggs and can cause
stomach symptoms of nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and fever.
Stomach Health Care/Food Poisoning Issues
Not all bacteria will lead to tummy problems or are harmful to stomach health; in fact, we all need to have some friendly bacteria in our gut, to ensure our
stomach health care and a healthy stomach.
Stomach health care issues can occur when food or drink consumed contains toxins that can cause you to become violently sick.
Here are some typical examples of how you can contract food
poisoning:
Food preparation/storage areas/utensils may be harbouring
the food poisoning bug
Food handler may have an infectious illness/disease
Food being contaminated by rodents or pets - dog etc.,
The food item may already be highly contaminated with toxins prior to cooking
Drinking water source may contain bacteria
Keeping prepared food at room temperature for prolonged period and then re-heating
How To Safeguard Stomach Health Care Against Food Poisoning
When it comes to stomach health - care against some common forms
of stomach ailments or food poisoning, prevention is always better than cure.

Always wash your hands prior to preparing or consuming food
If you are sick, avoid contact with food
Store prepared food appropriately in refrigerator where appropriate - do not keep food for long period of time at room
temperature
Do not mix or share your crockery with pets - dogs, cats etc.,
Nor should they come into contact with your food
Take care to wash all fruit and vegetables thoroughly before consuming/cooking
Take care with the storage of raw meat with other cooked/
ready prepared food items. Store meat at the bottom of your fridge - underneath other foods
Keep all food covered and not exposed to flies and other flying insects
Tests carried out on some people's homes have found that their
toilet seat contain far fewer bugs than their chopping boards
or food preparation work surfaces. Use an anti-bacterial cleaner and rinse thoroughly
Wash-up in soapy hot water and rinse
When on holiday/vacation, avoid tap water. Instead, drink only bottled water
